About CMZ Sistemi Elettronici
We target to OEMs and systems integrators for the co-development of automatic machines and equipment with customized and specific configurations in multi-axis motion.
Established in 1976 focusing on the production of controllers & drives, today the company offers customizable motion & control solutions including the systems design, the electronics programming, the development of ready-to-use motion & application libraries and ad-hoc softwares, alongside with a wide selection of master controllers IEC61131 up to 99 axis, servo drives, brushless and stepper motors up to 120 Nm strictly compact and Made in Italy, peripherals and I/O modules both digital and analogic, HMI operator panels.
Our high technological and safety standing is based on a team of 70 technicians and engineers. The systems realized to date in our factory count over 150,000 units.
CMZ is a Research Laboratory recognized by the Italian Ministry for Scientific Research.
The company is part of Soga Energy Team industrial group operating in power generation, motion and control since 1966.
CONTROLLERS
CMZ’s controllers are industrial motion-control brains designed for OEMs and systems integrators. They are programmable IEC 61131 platforms capable of managing multi-axis systems with integrated I/O, offering flexible and customizable automation solutions that accelerate machine development and integration.
Servo Drives – Brushless and Stepless
CMZ servo drives power and control motion systems at every performance level. Brushless drives deliver high-efficiency, high-speed control for dynamic applications, while Stepless drives use CMZ’s proprietary closed-loop technology to maximise torque at low speeds and reduce motor temperature — ideal for precision, low-speed automated tasks.
Servo Motors
CMZ servo motors include both brushless synchronous and stepper-based stepless technologies. Brushless motors offer robust, high-speed performance from 0.5 Nm up to 120 Nm with advanced feedback options, while Stepless technology enhances low-speed torque and smooth operation, making the range suitable for diverse industrial automation needs.
Stepper Motors
CMZ stepper motors are designed for precise positioning, reliability, and cost-effective motion control in industrial automation. Optimised for use with CMZ drives and controllers, they deliver high holding torque, accurate step resolution, and smooth operation, making them ideal for indexing, positioning, and low-to-medium speed applications where precision and repeatability are critical.
Planetary Gearboxes
CMZ precision planetary gearboxes complete the motion-control ecosystem with compact, robust speed-reduction solutions. Engineered for reliability, accuracy and efficiency, the range supports easy installation and high performance across industrial automation applications.
Peripherals
CMZ peripherals encompass I/O modules, digital and analog expansion units and dedicated function modules that integrate seamlessly with controllers and drives. These components extend system capability for machine control, sensor interfacing, and motion diagnostics.
HMI (Human-Machine Interface)
CMZ HMI operator panels deliver intuitive industrial interfaces for machine control and monitoring. Built for Industry 4.0 and IoT readiness, the range includes touchscreen panels that connect easily with CMZ controllers and automation networks.
