The task
KDP were put in contact with a highly respected medical institution that needed to accurately control the shaft speed and positioning of a high speed servo motor. The application is to rotate a heart valve for a coating process which has to spin at high speed and then stop in the same angular position for inspection and photography.
Our approach
KDP identified a suitable brushless ac motor and programmable servo drive and then wrote the program sequence to control the required operation.
The outcome
KDP were able to provide the motors, drives and connection cables and then through rigorous testing refine the whole system in a timely manner to the satisfaction of the customer.
